Our Commitment To Privacy:

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

The Information We Collect:

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the CMNC website. On some pages, you can apply to our workshops, become a member, view/revise your personal information, and through PayPal, an online payment collecting service, pay membership dues, workshop fees, and make charitable donations. The types of personal information collected at these pages are:

Name
Address
Email address
Phone number
Instrument(s)
Self-rating
General availability for playing chamber music
Food preferences
(etc.)

If you choose to submit a workshop evaluation, the types of personal information collected are:

Your Name (optional)
Your opinions about the coaching you received
Your opinions of the playing skills and conduct of other participants you played with
Your preferences for future assignments
Your opinions about the facilities, food and the like
(etc.)

The Way We Use Information:

We use the information you provide about yourself when signing up for a workshop only to communicate with you and to make appropriate workshop assignments. We share your name, instrument and contact information with other participants in the workshop roster.  Your workshop assignments are posted at the workshop but are not disclosed to others prior to the workshop without your permission. We do not share the information from your application with outside parties.

We use the information you provide about someone else only to improve our ability to make appropriate playing assignments and otherwise improve our workshops.  We do not disclose to anyone the evaluation information you provided or the fact that you have submitted an evaluation.  Any evaluation information we may receive concerning your participation in the workshop will remain confidential and be used only for purposes of improving the workshop by those Board members who need to know.  We disclose the information described in this paragraph to third parties with a need to know (such as ACMP for grant purposes) only after all individual identifiers have been removed.

We will include in the CMNC Membership Directory your contact information, instrument, and availability to play chamber music.  Information you submit on our website will not be included in the Directory unless you are a dues-paying member of CMNC.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website, but we do not share this information with anyone.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Our Commitment To Data Security:

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

PayPal:

When PayPal is used to pay for membership dues, workshop fees or donations, CMNC receives the money without seeing credit/debit card or bank account information.

How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information:

You can access and update all your personally identifiable information that we collect from you online and maintain by logging in to the website, once you have registered.  Support is available at   mail @ cmnc.org   and 510-828-4148. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access.
