PayPal Safety

If you receive email claiming to come from PayPal:

Consider the email fraudulent if it does not contain your first and last names -- for instance, if it says Dear PayPal Member, it is not from PayPal.

If it claims to come from PayPal, you can forward the email, including all the headers, to

spoof@paypal.com

They will respond concerning the validity of the email.

Most people with email addresses eventually receive fraudulent emails supposedly from a bank or other financial institution. If you have never done business with that company, it's easy enough to decide the email is not legitimate.

But what if the company is one you've used?

Please remember this advice when faced with this problem:
