ACMP's Self-Grading Guide for String, Woodwind, and Piano Players

Alex Zuckermann, 1921-2007,

CMNC provides opportunities for musicians to play and enjoy chamber music through workshops, performances, and education.

We are a non-profit organization devoted to bringing together string, woodwind, and piano players to share the joys of playing chamber works.  Weekend workshops are given at local colleges in Northern California three times a year.  Both members and non-members are welcome to participate, as individuals as well as in pre-formed groups.  Intensive coaching and master classes are offered at a majority of the workshops. Although we encourage you to apply for both days, single-day applicants are welcome also.

Please read CMNC Workshop Philosophy

You are invited to join CMNC and help support our goals.

Among the benefits of membership in the Chamber Musicians of Northern California are:

  • Reduced Fees for participation in our chamber music workshop weekends.  Also, partial scholarships are available to members who indicate need.
  • An annual Membership Directory lists addresses and telephone numbers of over 400 members.  The list is designed to help members find fellow chamber musicians who wish to set up playing groups.
  • The Chamber Musician, the CMNC newsletter, published thrice-yearly, has information about CMNC workshops and articles of interest to chamber musicians.

Your membership in CMNC provides you with opportunities for playing chamber music and keeps you in touch with the world of music around you.

CMNC is a non-profit organization with tax-exempt status organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
